I'm from Los Angeles, California. I grew up in the City of Commerce, went to school in Bell Gardens and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design from the Art Institutes of California in 2011. At the same time I began my graphic design education, I picked up where I left off creatively in high school. I listened and absorbed everything I could from my art instructors that had to do with painting. I work with acrylic paints.I have been exhibiting since 2012 in places such as the USC Medical Village Violence Prevention Center, Autry Museum of the American West, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and the Ontario Museum of History and Art, and the Museum Of Latin American Art to name a few and various art galleries throughout Los Angeles County. I curated my first exhibition August 2016 at Avenue 50 Studio titled WHAT I SEE and co-curated MAN OF THE PEOPLE in January of 2017 at the Tranquilo Gallery at the Plazita Olvera. MAN OF THE PEOPLE was an exhibit paying homage to Edward Roybal. My work experience includes creating over 20 12x20 ft. backdrops for Schmidli Backdrops, working as an after school art instructor at Temple Elementary in Rosemead CA., and the restoration of artwork in the 7th floor chapel at the Dream Center Los Angeles, Ca. I'm inspired by artists like George Bellows, Francisco Goya, Norman Rockwell and William Bliss Baker to name a few.I enjoy being able to go back to my old high school and talk to and anwswer questions from the art students. I've been doing that for the last 2 years."I try to create artwork that reflects the time I live in. My ultimate goal is to create museum quality work and to hopefully have left something behind that was worth staring at."
