I was born in Pennsylvania and live in Tucson, Arizona. I started painting in 2018 through Art Awakenings, an organization that supports the creativity of those living with mental illness. After I left the program, I stopped painting, but came back to it in the spring of 2019 because I missed taking the bus downtown to the studio and painting. Painting is my outlet from anxiety and depression. It allows me to express myself despite my rather flat affect.
I'm drawn to the impressionist stlyle like Claude Monet and post-impressionist style, for example, Vincent Van Gogh.
